Work it Wednesday: Zombie 5k?

So as promised, here's the first of my self-improvement blogging series. :) As Wednesdays are dedicated to health and wellness, here's this week's experience:

My good friend Amy, one of my companions from my mission, told me that in two week's she's doing a 5k in the Salt Lake area and asked if I wanted to join.  So, I said, "what the hey, why not?" and later she texted me with more details.

The information in her text all looked well and good and like your usual 5k until I got to the link to sign up: undeadrace.com

Bahaha! People it's the 5th annual Zombie Race of Salt Lake! When you sign up you can register to run as a zombie or human (I skipped out on the costume and went the human route).  If you choose to run as a zombie you get to dress up to your hearts content. Then at the start of the race, the humans take off two minutes before the zombies, so that it literally looks like zombies chasing their prey.  Is this not the coolest, most random thing you can imagine me doing? Um yes. So, I better start training, cause in like a week and a half I'm runnin' this thang!

I'm not necessarily interested in my time or anything, my goal is to just jog the whole thing without stopping. Pretty doable if ya ask me.  I'm excited. :)
