Love is a many splendored thing

So this blog post is going to be a whole bunch of random, because I've been meaning to blog about so much, but haven't in so, so long, that I'm way behind and it would take forever to write a bunch of cohesive, one subject blog posts, and this sentence is becoming a run on sentence, so that's that.

Accept it.

1. .Oh no, she doodled. (a butt-load of points and an e-highfive if you can name that movie)

 Cutest
 Niece
Ever

I've spent the summer in Missouri nannying my little niece Faye, and she's absolutely adorable. She's 6 and half months.  She's a boss. We can't get enough of her. I'm gonna be so sad to leave her when I head back home before school next week.

2. Music can change the world, because it can change people. -Bono (decided to just give ya that one)

I love music. More than anything. And I love making music. This summer I finally got around to writing and recording my first song. It's a pretty low-quality project because it was a low-budget project (i.e. no-budget), but I'm super satisfied with it, so that's all that matters.  It's a song I wrote about verbal abuse. I also made a video to go along with it. Right now it's a PSA kind of video, but eventually I'd like to make a music video. Annnyway, that's it above. Feel free to check it out.

3.  Beatboxers are the world's best kept secret. (actually nobody said that, I just made that one up)

I made this video a while back describing my passion for beatboxing, how I got into it, a few demos, etc. I never actually finished it, but I highly doubt that I ever will, so I figured I might as well just share it.  Above is my video. Below is a couple of extra shorter videos of me beatboxing, and a couple videos of the two groups that inspired my love of the art.

That's pretty much it. That's what my life post-mission thus far boils down to:  Faye, music, and beatboxing.  As you can see, I've been much too busy for blogging... but I hope to get back into it, especially as Fall semester rolls around. It'll be a nice respite from school.
