- Realizing that things have changed since I've been away. For example, my parents have taken retirement and run with it. Sometimes I feel the need to remind them that just because they're retired now, doesn't make this a retirement home. Their new found luxuries I discovered upon arrival speak for themselves:

My dad has this plush, heated, bidet-spraying toilet seat installed in his bathroom. It's not quite this bad, but...pretty close.

And just underneath that, Amy has one of these. It's called the "Squatty Potty" You can imagine the combination of the two.
- Being alone. We went to Office Max the other day so I could buy myself a day planner. (Yes, yes, I know....I just don't function without an agenda anymore!) While there, I stuck to Amy like a magnet for the first 10 minutes, following her aimlessly up and down the aisles, wishing that we'd make it to the aisle I wanted to go to soon. I'd stop and wait for her at the end of aisles, making sure she never got out of sight and sound......and then I realized....I could go wherever I wanted in the store by myself and it was okay!

Secretly I wish I had one of these...
- Introducing myself. "Hi! I'm Sisterrrr...Anne..."
- Not wearing a missionary tag. The first couple weeks, any time I was out in public, I'd occasionally check to see if my tag was visible. It wasn't....
- Listening to normal music...it was weird at first. I would run away anytime I walked into a room with rap playing. But, I'm becoming more and more used to it. I'm kind of obsessed with Imagine Dragons thanks to Sister Davis.
- Still having morning studies, but having nobody to study for but myself.
- Being the butt of my family's jokes...oh I've missed them too...
- Staying up way later than 10:30, but still finding myself so sleepy by 9pm
- TV, still can't do it.
- Movies, it comes in small doses.
- Somehow always ending up doing my laundry still on Mondays.
- Being able to chat with whoever I want, whenever I want. Priceless. :)
So far so good, eh? I'd say I'm adjusting fairly well. I'll keep the stories coming as they happen though.

Anne I love reading your blog. I still find it weird calling you Anne :P
